Our philosophy
The Story Behind KOA
After working with some of the largest school travel companies, we gained a clear understanding of their strengths—and also of what was missing. Too often, many trips follow one-size-fits-all itineraries—repetitive and impersonal, often missing the spark that makes an experience truly meaningful. Students are rushed from one activity to the next, without time to connect, reflect, or grow.
KOA was born to change that.
We don’t just organize trips. We create experiences that leave a lifelong mark.
At KOA, we believe that for students at this age, a trip can be a rite of passage—a turning point. An experience that opens their eyes, sparks curiosity, and helps shape them into more thoughtful, aware, and grounded young adults.
Every trip is crafted with purpose, cultural depth, and real care.
Because no two groups are the same. So no two journeys should be either.
Our programs go beyond sightseeing or visiting Spain’s best-known landmarks. We design trips where learning meets emotion, where knowledge connects with real people and real life.
Our top priority is to provide students with a unique experience that takes learning beyond the classroom and brings it to life. By doing so, we create a fully transversal experience considering all
areas of student growth.

OUR STUDENTS
will...

01. Meet community leaders
We organize inspiring talks with leaders and professionals from technology, science, art, business, and public policy. These sessions:
- Share real experiences that guide students’ futures
- Foster leadership skills for everyday life
- Spark curiosity and critical thinking
- Expand academic knowledge and open doors to valuable professional connections
0.2 Connect with local students their age
Students participate in workshops, sports, and a supervised, alcohol-free closing party — giving them the chance to:
- Connect with peers their own age
- Build cross-cultural friendships
- Start growing an international professional network early

0.3 Live the Culture, Not Just See It
Students don’t just observe — they participate!
- Jump on stage at a Flamenco show
- Cook traditional dishes with their own hands
- Experience culture through action and immersion
0.4 Volunteer with Purpose
Travel opens young minds beyond their everyday bubble. At KOA, we guide that moment of openness through meaningful volunteering:
- Support local food banks — Help pack and distribute essential goods.
- Connect with refugee families — Spend time, share stories, and build empathy.
These experiences shift perspectives and show students that real learning happens outside the classroom — when we meet, connect, and care.
